Forman Christian College
Foreman Christian College is an independent research liberal arts university established in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan which was founded in 1864. The university is run by the Presbyterian Church and follows an American-style curriculum. Founded in 1864 by Dr. Charles William Foreman, an American Presbyterian missionary, the college was originally called Mission College, and was renamed Foreman Christian College in 1894 in honour of its founder. Foreman served as an affiliated college of the University of Calcutta until 1947 when it became affiliated to the University of the Punjab. In 2004, the government gave him a university charter, so he was given the authority to confer degrees.
